The inaugural Women Leading Change Conference was a huge success. We are very pleased to have gathered so many talented and dedicated individuals together for the purpose of celebrating progress and fostering change.
The conference featured a host of incredible keynote speakers who shared their success stories and insights. The day provided a unique space to dialogue with one another about key gender and diversity issues and recognise the contributions being made to the industry workplace.
The 2018 Women Leading Change Awards honoured those who are demonstrating outstanding leadership and innovation, paving the way for greater inclusivity in their respective roles.

The results from last year’s APAC gender diversity survey were telling on the current state of play in Asia-Pacific. What do the results reveal one year on? Are we making progress or do we need to re-evaluate our strategy for change?
In this session, two leaders at the top of their game explore what skills are needed for leadership positions, how to create strategy for self-development and the importance of empowering others to make the same journey.
We often forget to market ourselves. It is so important to build a personal brand in today’s competitive workplace, as it can help women thrive and grow. It can give the edge and impact needed to take careers to the next level. In this masterclass, we look at the steps to take to build a personal brand and a professional network to market ourselves and make crucial professional and personal connections.
In the past 10 years, advances in digital marketing and technology have meant a significant increase in the need for specialist skills. What is ratio of women to men in these types of roles? Is there a gender imbalance? In this fireside chat, agency leaders address whether businesses should be doing more to encourage young female talent into digital and technology.
In this panel discussion, we hear from the next generation of women leading change. What are the rising stars in our talent pool striving towards and what are their key challenges and barriers stunting growth? Next we bring leaders already at the top in on the conversation, to look at practical ways to overcome adversity and get a competitive edge.
This penultimate keynote and panel addresses the barriers and challenges of unconscious bias. How deep does the problem go and can it be overcome? Does internal training work or should we be doing more?
How far has the industry moved in making real change in the workplace? In this closing panel, we look at last year’s mandate for change and assess how media leaders are moving towards more balanced workforces.
